The Bob Richards Scholarship for Peace Through Space is awarded yearly to one student who has demonstrated a passion for using space for peaceful benefits to humanity. The award is administered by the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS).

Applicants should submit a blog post detailing efforts they have already undertaken to this end as well as an initiative they wish to implement in the future promoting peace through space. There is no minimum or maximum for the post, but around 500 words is recommended. Be yourself! Be creative! We want your personality and your passion to shine through.

The award is $2000: $500 as a personal reward for the work you've already done, $1000 for supporting a new initiative that promotes peace through space, and $500 towards travel costs to attend SpaceVision 2015 in Boston, Massachusetts.

The deadline? October 31st.
I want to apply!

What do people call you? (Full name, please)

If you're in a SEDS chapter, which one? (If you're an independent member, that's okay too — just say so!)

Now for the best part! Please attach your blog post. We can't wait to read it!

Thank you for applying and the work you've done to advance peace through space for all of humanity. Applicants will be notified of decisions on November 1st, 2016.
